Alan Kempster : Incredible One-Armed, One Legged Road Racer

’ve seen some incredible and inspiring stories about people with disabilities overcoming huge challenges to live out their dreams – but I’ve never seen anything quite like one-armed and one-legged Australian road racer, Alan Kempster. He doesn’t just ride with no right arm and leg, he wins races! A must see story.

Alan Kempster’s story is truly an unbelievable one. A long-time motorcycle rider, Alan was hit by a drunk driver in a head-on collision in 1990, at the age of 28, which left him a double amputee; his right arm removed from the shoulder, and his right leg cut off only inches below the hip. Incredibly, not only did this not stop Alan from riding – he’s now a sponsored motorcycle racer on the Australian road racing circuit.

Because there is no separate class for disabled riders, Alan had to be creative in setting up a bike to ride in regular classes. Using a modified 400cc Kawasaki race bike – with throttle, front brake, and clutch on the left handlebar, and shifter and rear brake on the left foot control – Alan has figured out a way to ride even with no limbs at all on the the right side of his body.

Check out the video about this inspiring triumph of the human will – it will amaze you!

NOTE  : Hello, I Mahen Pitale, Below Elbow Prosthetic Users, I came across some websites while surfing the internet, which would be very
helpful for people who want to ride a motor bike (hand and leg amputees). And here is great information about bike modification and their
parts. And you will be inspired by watching videos of some amputee riders. This will give you more convenience to drive a motorbike.
For this, I thank the company that created the website. This information should reach maximum amputees, it is for this, not to do any
business. I request the amputees people to please drive without proper license,
and modification ,only after doing good practice.
